Recently, the BioCloner Health's team developed a device designed for the precise formation of ceramic suspension droplets, used in conventional drop casting and in the UV-assisted drop casting technique.

This solution enables the controlled production and solidification of droplets, which after further processing become high-quality ceramic microbeads. Owing to their hardness, strength, chemical resistance, and biocompatibility, these materials have a wide range of applications — from grinding media, bearings, and sandblasting, through catalysis, to water purification and biomedical uses (such as tissue engineering and drug delivery systems).

The developed device was prepared with the research needs of the team at the Department of Chemical Technology in mind. Its design enables precise control over the droplet formation process and their stabilization — both through gelation in a column filled with a dedicated solution and through polymerization of the monomer under UV irradiation. Thanks to this, the device supports the development and study of the UV-assisted drop casting technique, allowing for the production of reproducible and homogeneous ceramic structures under laboratory conditions at the Warsaw University of Technology.

BioCloner Health conducts projects involving the development of customized devices — designed based on individual laboratory parameters and requirements. For interested scientists, research units, and laboratories, it is possible to develop similar, tailored technological solutions.
