Functionality of the BioCloner technology

24 April 2025

  • BioCloner 3D

"Let’s talk about BioCloner’s functionality" – this is the first article in a series inspired by the ongoing development of our proprietary technology, which our entire team of experts is working on.

Why are we creating this series?

We want to keep you regularly informed about both new and improved features of the BioCloner technology. Our goal is to ensure you're always up to date with all the latest updates.

Let’s take a closer look.

Our team recently completed successful testing of dish-based printing – one of the reliable and practical options available in BioCloner Desktop Pro, enabling precise printing directly into laboratory vessels. Thanks to the updated software, the device automatically calibrates itself to the work surface, recognizing the shape and edges of containers such as Petri dishes or multiwell plates.

How do you install a vessel in the 3D bioprinter?

It’s incredibly simple – using a specially designed holder, the dish or other vessel can be quickly placed on the printbed. The holder keeps the container stable and securely in place, ensuring the model is printed with full precision.

Why is it worth printing directly into laboratory vessels?

There are many advantages – it significantly simplifies the entire post-production process. This makes it easier to transport the models, apply media, and continue cell culture, while minimizing the risk of damage.

We are constantly developing our technology, introducing innovative solutions. At the same time, we are refining existing features to ensure comfort and reliability for users working in laboratory environments.
